Top Rated Indoor Ceiling Fans

Fresh air flow for cooling and maintaining air quality is very important. As people reside and respire, the quality of air becomes stale, therefore frequent flow is vital. It helps to replenish fresh air and control the temperature. Stale and still air will obviously lead to suffocation. To keep air moving in and out, fan is very necessary.

A good fan should be able to propel air in the entire room forcing bad air out while not affecting breathing process. Gases such as carbon iv oxide is heavy and when not forced out, would settle on the lower part or me room causing more trouble. To have it effect, a fan should be placed at a strategist place, away from direct object obstructions to purge the entire room. The only place without any obstruction is the ceiling, where the hands can spread and rotate. This makes indoor ceiling fans, suspended from the ceiling the most suitable for effective air flow. Most of them have between three to five hands to enhance their effect. Mounted on the ceiling fans, their effect is felt in the entire room. The fan itself is also free from disturbances from moving it from point to point as this could lead to breakdown. They have control systems mounted on the walls enabling speed regulation to suit ones need. The air flow from the fan does not heats one directly on the face that, causing nose blockages by forced dreaming or last moving air, dirty air.

Choosing the right outdoor ceiling fan must be a headache, for several special features listed can make you confused. Below are some examples to help you choose the right type of fan for your needs.

Buiding code requirement

There are 2 basic types of outdoor ceiling fans: those that are UL listed for damp locations and those UL listed for wet locations. If you are installing a ceiling fan outdoors, building safety codes require that you install an outdoor ceiling fan with the correct UL listed approval rating depending on where the fan is installed. What is the difference between Wet Rated and Damp Rated outdoor ceiling fans? Any outdoor location that is directly exposed to rain requires a ceiling fan that is rated for Wet Locations. This includes uncovered areas, partially covered areas or covered areas where rain (or water from sprinklers) can blow onto the fan. All other outdoor areas that are covered or not exposed directly to rain require an outdoor fan rated for

Wet rated or Damp rated?

Did you know that you can “hose off” a WET rated outdoor ceiling fan to clean it? Well, you can! Outdoor fans can get dirty rather quickly, so being able to hose it off can be a true blessing. You can’t do this to a damp rated fan, so remember this when deciding which type to buy.

Also, a wet rated outdoor ceiling fan can be installed in a damp location, but a damp rated fan cannot be used in a wet location. Both damp and wet rated ceiling fans can also be installed indoors, but indoor ceiling fans CANNOT be installed outdoors because they are neither damp or wet rated. Thus if in doubt, choose a best wet rated ceiling fan because they can be used in any location both indoors and outdoors.

WET rated outdoor ceiling fan is widely used for all the above outstanding features. Be careful, though. An outdoor ceiling fan which is specifically designed for damp locations of course will perform better in that condition than any others.
